A Quick Stop in Marseille, France Adventure
Todays adventure is in The Port of Marseille, France. This is the third largest metropolitan area in France after Paris and Lyon. Marseille is a major city of art and history, that in which has many museums, galleries, ancient building, and churches of historical interest. Its most visited site is the beautiful Basilica Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde, which you could see in a distance from the Marina of central Marseille. During my adventure today I stopped at few interesting spots including the Cathedral of Marseille and The Mucem. The Cathedral of Marseille (La Major) is a stunning Roman catholic church and a french national monument. It has unique designs of mosaic floors, marble columns with beautiful detailed edging, and mosaic designs at the front entrance with a vibrant main door. This church seats 3,000 people making it one of the largest cathedrals in France. The next stop was the Mucem, which was completed in 2013 and a much more modern architectural feel. Large exhibitions are held here, as well as events that make up the artistic and cultural program. There is free entrance to wander to the rooftop terrace where you have a beautiful view of the city for great photo ops. Lastly we walked along the central city Harbor and stopped for some french Cuisine at La Cuisine Au Buerre. Check out my video for the sites I visited on my journey around the city!
