Las Palmas, Canary Islands Adventure

Todays adventure is in the port of Las, Palmas, Canary Islands. Las Palmas is located in the northeastern part of the Canary Islands, and experiences a hot desert climate, so therefore it is known mostly for the beach scene. It is also known for one of the most famous Carnivals in Spain, Carnival of Las Palmas, in which this event is held each February. During this event, the Island is full of life, music, and color, and everyone is invited to take part in the festivities to enjoy the free spirit of Gran Canaria. I was lucky enough to be able to experience some of the excitement from this specific holiday. This years theme for the carnival was Magic and Fantastic creatures. While sitting to have lunch we observed a bunch of locals dressed up fitting this years theme, so it is that similar to Halloween. Also the streets here a full of many shops and restaurants, so I was sure to explore the streets of Las Palmas.
